Support

I received lots of emails actually and notes from friends, saying, that they support what I do. They like what I make, but thing is, they cant buy it because 1) they have no kids 2) their kids dont wear hats.

I think, they think wrong. They can still support me, if they dont have kids & their kids dont wear hats. They can still support. By, promoting it, telling others, take my business cards, read and surf the page, read what I babbles or buy for other people kids. During the first Markets, where Crafty joined with Chicpop & Bettr Weekend, I have lots of customers coming, and they were teenagers. I myself surprised because they bought clothes, hats and small little things not for themselves, but for their nieces, nephews and bosses' kids. Surprised, but not surprised. And they are pure. Chic Pop customers mostly teenagers. They like first time seeing me, seeing the colorful hats. And they go crazy. They buy because they like it, even tho, they are teenagers. Still studying.

You can do too, apart from buying.

How? Like my page. More than enuff. This is not a plea. If you really like my stuff, you can like my page. Doesnt really matter your kids like or not wearing hats. Im so OK with that. Because, Im accepting the fact that not all kids wear hats. Not all people love the same things. Im truly 100% understand. I like Iphone, other people like Blackberry. Taste for each people is different. So OK with that.

Tell your friends, what you like about my stuff. I will love you more :) I love the words of mouth promotion, save a lot, and usually not bias, especially when your kids dont wear ones. If your kids wear my hats, bonus point! Ting!

So, thats all I want to share. Supporting doesnt mean you have to buy. No. Please understand that. I dont want you to buy because you are my friends or my relatives. Supporting means a lot when you adore what I made, when my stuff "fills in the blank", when you share what is Okinokiyo with others, when you email me to see Okinokiyo grows and when you thank God when there's a hat in your bag when you really need it.

I won it!

Today was not that good. I was tired setting up my machine to make it work and it took a lot of time and effort to do that. After calculated, I found out I wasted almost 1/2 day doing nothing.

The good thing is only I received the gifts below from shambijoux. I participated in the giveaway for the first time and I won.

So apart from my tired day for the whole month of July, there is also a good day in my 'craft' side of life.


Shambie gave the nicely done July planner pouch, the August planner and a half yard blue English cotton which Im gonna use to make a hari-raya bag for Nasya.

Business cards

Whenever I buy fabrics or buttons, usually the sellers will give their business cards. Here are some of the BC which I managed to snap. Pretty huh?

So being me who is always wanted some pretty things for myself too, I designed mine as well. And already sent them for printing. And cant wait to reveal mine :P

No, the reason is, Im coming up with the collection anytime soon, so I wanted to have a proper packaging, so one of the thing I want to put in is the business card.

Real Business vs Online Business

I have my reasons why Im doing online business.
Its because :
I hate to meet people.
Im a homey people.
I hate to wear nice hehehe.. but I love to see people wear nice clothes tho.I think I can use my IT knowledge so much in this area.
I can do 2 in 1..like replying client mail and YMing my frens or replying client mail and cook at home, something like that.

I love my current lifestyle. I dont think Im gonna change my lifstyle even if I have more money in the future. Comparing myself now and then, I think I use around the same price of clothes. Last time I got lots of shoes but now I only have 1-2 good pairs of shoes and use until they are torn. Some thing has change but then I dont think Im into that lavish lifestyle. It just does not suit me that well because I tried. Yes I tried.

People love money but they work hard to get money. I dont want to work hard. I want to work smart. I dont want to go here and there to get money, but I want to go here and there to make money. Making money and getting money is 2 different thing as from my understanding.

Author is a good example where they dont need to work that hard. Or maybe they work hard only once during the making of their book. But once the book is there and got in the hot shelves in the bookstores...they are rich. I got this from my husband who went to Azizi Ali workshop who said that his royalti is more than enough to be spent by his grandchildren. Isnt it great?

*Now Im thinking of writing a book :p*

Another example is our Kahwin.Net. The one we need to do now is the burning the orders in a VCD, put in the envelopes and wallaaahh..The hard time was once last 2 years. And the best thing is even the customer is not a repetitive customer, but people getting married everyday. And people dont think wisely about spending in their wedding. :)

So thats the reason why I dont do real business because I just think online business is just suit my lifestyle.
