Slow and steady (NOT!)

So, yeah, we moved to the new house last Friday and frankly speaking, I like the new house. Only that, its too big for 3 of us.

But this big house, cannot afford to store all of our stuff. The business stuff I mean. Anyways, we, or I, still find the best way to rearrange the furniture, stocks and etc in my craft & the filing room, in the kitchen, in each of the rooms, except Nasya's room and the guest room upstairs. :D

Most of you told me to be slow and steady in unpacking, but I really cant you know. Why? Coz I got datelines to meet!! Panic mode! And to adjust myself in the new craft room is so hard. I think that I need a proper chair to sew. Last time I used the dining chair and the serger was next to me. Now, the serger is behind me and I do think I need a chair with rollers. Do you use roller chairs? I know Neeza has one.

We're going to Ikea this Saturday to get some shelves, racks and see if Ikea has a budget roller chair for me, for the time being. Or, anybody has a roller chair and you hate it, you can let me know, I will give you some of my scraps as an exchange...Speaking of which, I didnt realise that I got 2.5 boxes of scraps. It is a PAIN. Pain to see they just sit in the box without being used, and I have this love hate relationship with them. SOOO, I decided to sell them. You can come to my house and get it for yourself, and pay it on the dot. I will just use timbang kati mode based on the size...I just need to let them go..But bear in mind, they are all American cotton, so they dont cost RM5 for one big box okay?

So, email me, for those who wanted to come and get it yourself or those who wanted me to post, let me know what you want to make, so I have an idea, how big/small the scraps you need.

Call me Mai, okay?

The memories we left behind...

We still keep the red sofa, but the green wall..sob sob sob

The last day I made a visit. Super spanking shiny for a new tenant. Hope they take care of the furniture we left.

Kitchen Island as a craft/cutting table

So I was at Ikea this afternoon till evening and I got the chance to have a look. Specifically for tables & sofas. Which I was still wondering why we were looking for sofas when the initial plan was different? :p

And I think, I will settled for this kitchen island as my work table...A Stenstorp kitchen island! I was looking for some ideas before going to Ikea and inspired at Posie's new craft room and thought of getting a Varde Kitchen Island, but that island is not available in Ikea Malaysia, so there are 2-3 kitchen Island that can be considered. One is to small, another is too short and this one is just nice.

What makes me still in thinking mode is the price - it costs RM1500++ just for that. And the color is in beige. It is simple, with shelves and has a tough, sturdy and thick top. My husband likes beige and I like white. Since its gonna be in my room, maybe I will paint it white. I like the rough texture of the top tho. But lets see if it still fits my budget :p

~Still calculating....~

p/s- Business still as usual yeah? I still work late at nite this few days to settle with all the orders. Just shoot your emails ok?

Missing

I was missing this few days due to some personal commitments. :)

We are moving to a new house..and we have so many things to settle. At first I thought we may not moving this soon so I take things slow. Very slow. In fact, we dont even have time to look for furniture, appliances and all at all. We dont have the time. Weekends either I was busy looking for stuff to topup for our businesses or do some daughter-son commitments to our families.

So, last week was the time when we finally said, lets go and look for something. We went to Macy, Serdang with no idea what to search for. Dining set? Curtains? Don't know. We just went there to see. So we saw some things that we like, but due to not much survey being done, we didn't buy a thing. Plus, we don't think that buying anything at the moment is a great idea since there is no grill installed at the new house yet.

However, yesterday my husband took a day leave. So he forced me to follow him to meet all the person incharge n grills, alarm system and etc. I was so tired of one day full going here and there, until I feel like vomitting and I slept early last night. At 10.30pm. Soo not me! :)

Finally we made the decision that maybe we are moving into the new house in February-March or maybe earlier, end of January. So many things need to do on top running our business as usual. Today, I will send my daughter to her usual drawing class and maybe I may do a tour and a real look at Ikea, see if anything there meet my dream craft room.

Ahh yes, that's the most important thing right? Coz, if there is no internet connection yet, no proper room for me to work, I don't want to move there. I need all those so that there is no business interruptions.

Nasya was so messed. Sweating and so dirty after playing in the new house, excited to flush all the toilets and this was when we stopped for lunch. She only slept at 6. Her nap totally went haywire, but she managed to sleep early last nite.

Now I need to do some budget on how to make my dream craft room. Some things I need are - pegboard, shelves, lights and tables. I feel like selling my LACK. Anybody interested?
