Rorry hat : The option

When I started making Rorry hat, I used linen fabric. And the first customer who trust the hat was Mya, daughter of Idamurni. She bought the red riding hood fabric in linen at Markets, Jaya One.

Then I moved to Oxford fabric and now is corduroy. I love to have options of type of fabric, other than cotton. There is a drawback, linen might not as soft as cotton, but it gives the sturdy look and the linen Im using mostly are linen cotton combination at ratio 55 linen, 45% cotton, so why not?

I saw this linen in one of the fabric seller website, and tadaaaa! Perfect. For me it looks like pop corn packaging, but it gives the fun, simple and classic look of the hat.

Nasya wears hat nite and day. We hardly go out at nite. Only when I have no mood to eat my own cooking, we will dine out. And here, she tried to imitate the waiter ,

Nasya : What do you want to order
Me : I want toast..
Nasya : *Pretend to write* One toast coming up!

So Im thinking to open option to linen as well!! Gonna place the order with one of the seller, tra la la la la...

What to expect on Saturday?

And I maybe a little bit late on Saturday, so I will be staying until 7 or after Maghrib, to cover my time. So if any of you want to come late, you may, but I cant guarantee that the choice of hats are still there yeah?

And Batu Seremban will be there too! Im making around 8-10 sets. So grab it fast. Flat RM5, all going to Rumah Aman.

So, plan your time, allocate the budget ;) and see you there!!

New colors la la lah...

Yesterday, I managed to spend few hours buying new colors for Rorry hat. Yayy to me! All are new colors except the maroon one coz I have one like that in my stocks already and actually the the color is a bit darker.

They have pink in stock but the material is almost suede so I already told them to get the quality that I want.

As of now, these are the new colors, I wont be stocking new colors until these are running low. I bought lots of meters of these already. So, dont ask me for "do you have new colors?" :p

Have nice Tuesday! :)

Crafty Market 10 and Rorry Hat

Those who already followed me on Instagram and Twitter have already seen all these photos. Im now in love with this Rorry hat. Now Im thinking of some new styles to style this hat. But soon, I need to do some trial and error first and it involves of lots of waste ;p. We crafters love to waste (NOT!)

So that hat Nasya's wearing was meant for sale when she decided that she wanted that one. But it is actually my fav too!

That nite, I made another one and mix and match it with 2 different tone of browns. The inner is a brown toolbox fabric. Its not listed in the FB album as I forgot who is the designer. Will stock up more soon.

Still available tho. Size 1T.

This is from my husband's phone after I edited a bit. She was so into the hat heheh. Happy me!

I made her wear the pants made from the crossword puzzle fabric bought from Tini. Was meant to make a bag when I realized she got too many bags already. She loves the pants and when Im a bit free, I will snap total of that pants she has :p

About Crafty, I will only make an appearance during Crafty or any bazaar I joined. Why, coz my time other than that will be at home. If Im going for our weekly outing, I usually didnt bring the hats. So to those who really wants to touch and feel and try, please make your time during the bazaar. Doesnt mean you have to buy, you can custom when your size is not available there, but you will know how it looks like on your kids, which hats you like and etc. And usually you will get a discount when you buy at the bazaar (when you buy more like brooches/pins etc)

So, next bazaar will be on 17th December, Im coming out with new items. Please head over, to JayaOne again ok!!

Happy Monday to all of you!

Layout for Crafty Market this Saturday @JayaOne

Morning!

Here are the layout for this coming Crafty. I, as usual will share a booth with Tini from SnazzynSuch. Lucky we got a table at the corner, which is next to the lift! So we can accommodate our rails and hopefully it is not raining!

Our booth is at number 14, and at the G/B1 floor. Hints & tips. Find 7E and Nandos. We are behind 7E & Nandos. If you're going to park at the first level of the basement you enter, just go thru the lift near the Surau, you can see all of us, the crafty people :D

This is one of the Rorry hats for Crafty Market. My personal favourite... :)

Oh yes, there will be Batu Seremban sets too! Come get it and the $ goes to charity. :)

See you there!

The Rorry Hat

Munirah ordered this Rorry hat last month, before raya and I just finished making it sometimes last week. Its for Harith. When I snap this photo, I have yet completed another one for Uwais. And there is another hat for Athirah :)

Anyways, Im going to elaborate the Rorry Hat in this post. Its a unisex hat. Suitable for babies to toddler. And I made one in linen, bought by a customer for her sweet daughter Maya, and another one I made in oxford fabric also perfect bought by a customer during 4th Crafty Market.

Shown here is Harith's in black corduroy. You know that sewing corduroy is, soooo tedious, as it frays, like h*ll. So, thats why the price is RM65.

As usual, its reversible, and I only use cotton for the inner layer. Dont ask me to put another corduroy inside. Please listen to the expert :P. Imagine, you want a chiffon baju kurung layered with another chiffon, it just doesnt work ok? For babies, I will suggest lined with organic cotton. :)

And since I ran out of colors for corduroy, I stocked up the stash with some new colors, see below.

And, I have a printed corduroy in pink too! Limited to 2 pieces only. Let me know if you wanted a floral printed corduroy, I will try to get that as well.

And last but not least, model in action!

Athirah & Hartih during their gateway in Cameron Highland. Looks like professional model right? Thanks Munirah for the photo!

If you want a beautiful photos, you can go engage Munirah coz she is a pro! Go here to see her beautiful snapshots www.tripletsplusone.com

So, yes, I will accept Rorry Hat order with oxford, linen and corduroy fabric for the outer layer, and any cotton for the inner layer. The combination just perfect, okay?

Have a nice day!
